Membership dues were waived for 2021 and 2022. Dues resumed in 2023.

If you are new or would like to renew, please complete the Membership Application and follow the directions below.

Also, if you are new, please contact our secretary, Dr. Linda Clemmons, at lmclemm@ilstu.edu. We will add you to our membership roster and get you into the loop via our email listserve as quickly as possible.

HCIR dues cover one calendar year and are due by December 31. Monies collected are applied towards the Margaret Messer Student Research Grants, conference expenses for the annual HCIR Student Symposium, the Honors Director Professional Development Fund, and HCIR operational expenses. In order to participate in the HCIR Student Symposium, dues must be paid by the symposium date in February.

New Dues Structure!

At the Fall 2022 meeting, HCIR members approved the following dues structure to begin in 2023:

New Institution (First Year of Membership Only)                 $25

Regular Member                                                                     $50

Sustainer Member                                                                   $100

• A new institution is defined as a institution that has never paid dues before or had 5 or more years of inactivity in HCIR.

• Non-new institutions are asked to pay the annual rate (regular or sustainer) they can afford to pay.

• There will be no difference of benefits between new institution, regular and sustainer members that can impact students or director/dean professional development opportunities.

• The HCIR Executive Committee will work to establish various forms of recognition to show appreciation for institutions paying at their respective levels. This may include, but not limited to, acknowledgement on the website, connecting new institutions to resources to grow their honors program, naming the tiered levels, award opportunities, and the like.

• Schools that paid $80 for 2022 will have their payment credited to 2023 and be considered Sustainers. No refunds will be given.
